যান চলাচলের জন্য খুলে দেয়া হয়েছে পদ্মা সেতু। শনিবার প্রধানমন্ত্রীর বর্ণ্যাঢ্য উদ্বোধনের পর আজ ভোর ৬টা থেকে সব ধরনের যানবাহন চলাচল শুরু হয়েছে বহু প্রতীক্ষিত এ সেতুতে। নির্ধারিত টোল দিয়ে সেতু পার হচ্ছে সব যানবাহন।

প্রথম দিন সবার আগে পদ্মাসতেুতে উঠে দিনটিকে স্মরণীয় করে রাখতে চেয়েছেন অনেকেই। প্রমত্তা পদ্মা পার হবেন দ্রুত গতিতে। কেউ গেছেন জরুরি কাজে। সবার মধ্যেই দেখা গেছে উচ্ছ্বাস।

তবে সবার আগে পদ্মা পারি দেয়ার চিন্তায় অনকেই রাত থেকে গাড়ি নিয়ে বসে থাকেন সংযোগ সড়কে। এতে পদ্মা সেতুতে ওঠার আগে দেখা গেছে প্রায় ৬-৭ কিলোমিটারের যানজট। দাঁড়িয়ে আছে সারি সারি ট্রাক, কাভার্ড ভ্যানসহ অন্যান্য গাড়ি।
