I saw some unfavorable comments about this film which is directed by Nicole Garcia, who is also the screenwriter of this film and she acted in some other films too. I also watched her movie ‘A View of Love’ (some translated as ‘Balcony on the Sea’). In both movies, there are common ingredients – like love could last for a long long time (from childhood or teenhood) and this love could make your present normal life upside down. It may be so unreasonable and crazy in the eyes of common people. In this film (I still don’t know why it can come up with an English title like that), the acting of Marion is so magical and wonderful. The love of Gabrielle (the woman Marion acts) with the injured lieutenant is hovering between reality and illusion. But the editing of the film could be done better to make the final twist more convincible. The piano piece by Tchaikovsky is so rightfully placed.
